How are you all doing ? I have been really busy travelling for festival these days. Hope you are enjoying them too.
You have mostly seen my blogs with western clothes as I am highly influenced by western fashion , I won’t lie 😛 It is 80% western for all my wardrobe needs. But let me tell you honestly whenever I get a chance to flaunt a saree or Indian clothes I enjoy the compliments the most 🙂
So while this talented designer friend Deepa Pinjani lable ‘ Kripa Flaunt it’ from Pune approached me for this outfit, it was love at first sight. I started dreaming how and where I will shoot this. As you all have already seen me wearing this gown at Vogue Wedding Show 2016 but that’s not all about this outfit.
This beautiful Red Anarkali Gown is made of Raw silk and red also being my favourite color adds the glamour-quotient to the outfit. To give it a Indo western feel the designer has toped it with a beautiful raw silk cape jacket with intricate Zardosi work. It almost made me feel like a dainty princess as I got into it 🙂 This gorgeous outfit can be worn as a gown separately for events and also with the cape for occasions like weddings Sangeet, theme parties. It has a beautiful tale which makes you feel like you are walking a red carpet. The cape can also be blended with different outfits , as a cape has become the new trendsetter.
As the outfit itself has a royal feel, I didn’t have to play much with the accessories so have only paired it with Swarovski Gold danglers and a gold clutch.

A thing about this shoot location ‘ Humayun’s Tomb’, whenever I used to see this beautiful place in Bollywood movie songs, it fascinated me every single time. Humayun’s tomb is the tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun in Delhi, India. The tomb was commissioned by Humayun’s son Akbar in 1569-70, and designed by Mirak Mirza Ghiyas, a Persian architect chosen by Bega Begum.
I couldn’t have thought of a better place for this outfit 🙂
